I'm Jan Maresh.
It's likely you've never heard of me. Actually...we might have that in common. Maybe no one has heard of you either. And I'm on a mission to change that for both of us. After all, we ARE accomplished people.
Early in my career, I quit my corporate job before I was fired. It was the early 80’s. Mortgage interest rates were at 14 - 18% (you may even remember this). Unemployment in the US was over 8%. I was out of work for 3 months and was going to have to move home if I didn’t find work -- not in my business plan. My friend Pam, told me her company was hiring, got me an interview and I got the job.
But – it was a straight commission sales job that required speaking (what was I thinking)? Here’s what happened. Without any sales or speaking experience I sold $1,000,000.00 of a $20 in 18 months.
How? I learned a sales process. And have gone on to sell my books that way, physical product that way – even online training that way and have cut my marketing time in half. This process became normal operating procedure and I’ve used this strategy to market and grow several successful businesses over my 30+year career.
